“Karla was one of the best decisions I made in my wedding planning, hands down. I found her through wedding wire and went for her based on these reviews and price. She is AWESOME. When I had my trial run and brought some pictures of roughly what I wanted, she NAILED it. No tweaks, just able to create exactly the feel I wanted. (And I am a fairly picky, detail-oriented person.) She was able to create the exact look I wanted on her first shot. On my wedding day, she showed up on time and was ready to go. She did beautiful and stunning up & part-up hairdos for my bridesmaids, and flawlessly recreated for me what she had done at my trial months before. Plus, she used really high quality makeup that lasted the whole night. I was total waterworks, but my makeup held through. Karla is responsive, sweet - and as far as pricing goes for hair & makeup (I got married in SF and had major sticker shock) - she was amazing value and much more reasonable than other options I'd found. Karla is a GREAT pick - and definitely so grateful I found her!”

“As a person with a low-key everyday look, Karla took me surprise with my trial run and I thought it was a little much. I asked for a more natural look for the day of the wedding and she listened to exactly what I requested! My mom (who also never wears make-up) also got it warily done for the day of and Karla made it look as natural a possible--you couldn't even tell she was wearing any, which suited her perfectly. I also had to adjust my location and time for the day of the wedding and she was flexible and kind enough to adjust it even after signing my contract. I only give a 4.5 on the professionalism because I was quoted an incorrect price for a trial by her assistant. Her pricing was the most reasonable I could find in the San Jose area with high reviews. I would definitely recommend Karla to future brides and may come back to her when I'm in a future wedding this fall!”

“Karla is a very gifted and talented artist. I had the pleasure of a cut and a color on two separate visits within a week or so apart. I've felt like an orphan for years not being able to find that one stylist who can do it all to my fine curly hair since moving to the South Bay. Karla gave me nothing short of a Cinderella experience on my first visit. It had taken me 8 months to grow out a horrible cheap deal hair cut on the fly, which left me feeling a bit vulnerable. Karla listened to my needs and pulled off the best cut I can recall having in this century! The architecture of my textured bob with a side bang was spot on, red carpet movie star quality (and I'm no stranger to high end salons). When she did the reveal, I think my eyes welled with joy. I looked 10 years younger (in a good way) and got so much attention wherever I went, I lost count after 13 compliments in just a couple of hours. Men I know who wouldn't look at me in that "hey you look hot" sort of way, complimented me with "wows" and flirtatious sweet nothings that boosted my day.  People I didn't even know where touching my silky shiny hair as if it was bejeweled. I got so much attention and loved my cut so much that I booked another appt. with her right away to color my funky gray roots that had grown out longer than they should (which she somehow managed to magically cover the week before). My hair color rocked and lasted a long time. The best part, my hair is not all fried and the healthiest it's been in years and I spend $100's on high end products for my hair. Karla introduced me to a few lines of products she has that really help shape, straighten, control and condition my fine curly Italian hair (which doesn't take much to revert to a loose fro if I let it). Karla will make you feel and look like a Goddess when she is done. She has an amazing artistically eye and a beautiful soul. If you are looking for a jaw dropping Cinderella experience, Karla will not disappoint and her prices are reasonable, especially when you consider the high quality turn out you get in the end.”

We had done a trial a couple months before and discussed the general look. She was great about hearing my opinions and making it work based off the look I wanted. Due to some last minute details about the venue, I wasn't able to give her a final prep location until a couple weeks before, but she was easy going about it.

The style was right on point! 2) she was super flexible and accommodating in regards to time and payment 3) she helped make the overall experience relaxing! I've heard horror stories where the makeup artist flakes last minute, and Karla went out of her way leading up to the event to let me know she was fully committed 4) she's actually quite awesome to talk with, which makes the whole event less awkward/formal.”

Karla and her assistant handled the craziness of the wedding day like complete professionals. They were perfectly on time, and completed with time to spare for touch ups.
