Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to do hair and makeup?

Although it can depend on the “desired look”, hair length and style we have an estimated amount of time per service. For the bride it takes about 3 hours for both hair and makeup. If only, doing hair or makeup, it takes about 1 hour. For the bridal party and guests, it takes about 2 hours for hair and makeup.

What happens at a trial?

During your trial, we go over your “desired look”. We talk about your likes and dislikes so that we customize your look to fit you perfectly.

Trials are all about getting to know each other and creating a look for your big day. We appreciate complete honesty and full collaboration between the artist and client so that we can transform your vision into a reality. Before your trial, we recommend you send our way photos of makeup/hair looks you love! We love to hear about your wedding theme and colors, dress and overall vision. Having your veil and hair accessories is recommended but not required. Then during the trial, we will begin with a consultation and re-create the look you desire for your wedding day. Trials usually last about 2-3 hours.

When should I request a trial? Are they required?

Our bridal packages include the bridal trial as we strongly advise for each of our brides to have one.

We recommend for you to book your trial the sooner the better. This way, your hair and makeup needs can be met and you can go along planning your wedding without having to worry about hair and makeup! However, if time escapes you, we recommend about 2-3 months before the wedding. Trial sessions are held in the location of your choice.

What should I bring to my trial?

If possible, please bring your veil and/or hair accessories. We recommend you wear a silky robe or white such as a white blouse, dress, (or any kind of top). This really helps us envision how you will look on your big day.

How many trials can I have?

Most clients require only one trial session to create their “desired look. We are open to as many trials as you’d like so that you can feel confident about every aspect of your look, each additional trial is booked separately.
